Kumsing-Manipuri Calendar 2026

ꯀꯨꯝꯁꯤꯡ · Kumsing is the Manipuri calendar for your phone. Open it and today's English date sits beside today's Meitei date, with the festival, the moon and the tatnaba for that day.

It is built from the printed kumsing that Manipuri families buy every year. Every date in the app was checked page by page against that hard copy, so the app and the print say the same thing.

The calendar needs no internet. A 2026 calendar, a 2027 calendar and every year from 2024 to 2030 are already inside the app, so it opens on a train, in a village, or with no signal at all.

📅 THE CALENDAR
✅ The English date and the Meitei date together, on every day of the month
✅ Festivals, holidays and tatnaba days marked on the day they fall
✅ Full moon, no moon and fasting days, drawn on the date itself
✅ A whole year on one screen, for any year from 2024 to 2030
✅ Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset, shown as Imphal time

🎉 FESTIVALS AND HOLIDAYS
✅ Sajibu Cheiraoba, Yaoshang, Kang, Mera Houchongba, Ningol Chakouba and many more
✅ Placed years ahead by Meitei lunar rule, never typed in by hand
✅ Search a festival by name and read its date in any year up to 2030
✅ Hide the traditions you do not follow, so the calendar is only yours

🏠 HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
✅ A Today widget with the Meitei date, the festival and the moon, without opening the app
✅ A Month widget that puts the whole month grid on your home screen
✅ Both widgets follow your own theme and your own script
✅ The app icon itself changes with the weekday, so the day is on your home screen too

📝 YOUR OWN DAYS
✅ Add events and reminders on any date, English or Meitei
✅ Repeat a day by the Meitei calendar, such as every Hiyangei 2 or every Sajibu 10, and it returns every year on its own
✅ Photograph your office, school or club holiday list and the dates go into your planner
✅ Import from your phone calendar, and keep every invitation card, date and photo in one place

🔮 THE BACK PAGES OF THE KUMSING
✅ Tatnaba numit, thasi maikei and pokpa numitki phal
✅ Rashiphal for your day and chahi phal for your year
✅ Paknaba match reading, khongchat travel reading and phal yengba omens
✅ Laijao leiba mapham, loubuk sowing and harvest days, and eclipse dates
✅ Classic tarot, with a card for the day and a private journal

🔤 IN YOUR SCRIPT, IN YOUR COLOURS
✅ Read everything in Meetei Mayek, Bengali or English
✅ Meitei numerals or Arabic numerals, following the script you chose
✅ Nineteen themes, light and dark, from Angouba paper to Amuba night
✅ Twelve or twenty four hour time, and a calendar that keeps Manipur days when you travel

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who keeps the Meitei calendar, and anyone who simply wants a good calendar app that also knows Manipur. Families planning bartan, students, farmers, shopkeepers, and everyone who used to reach for the printed kumsing on the wall.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT DOES
The calendar, the planner and the festivals list and the whole utilities are free and work offline. Three things use the internet only when you choose them: the holiday list scanner, optional Google sign in for backup, and the update check.

Where a reading is still waiting for a pandit to confirm it, the app says so on the page. Nothing is guessed, and no date is calculated on your phone.
