About 投資詐欺レーダー|詐欺チェック・怪しい投資の診断
■ Before you hand over your money, why not verify that investment offer?
"Guaranteed principal and monthly interest rate of X%," "Receive rewards for referring friends," "AI automatically earns money"—these phrases are very similar to investment scams that have caused significant losses in the past.
Investment Scam Radar is a scam check app designed to warn you. Simply enter the name of the investment opportunity you were approached with and the conditions you were told. It will then assess your scam risk by comparing it to dangerous words commonly used in scams and past cases.
We created this app to help you pause and verify suspicious investment offers made on social media, dating apps, or by acquaintances before handing over your money.
■ Diagnosis: Assess scam risk simply by entering information
Enter the name of the investment opportunity you were approached with and the details of the offer, then press the diagnosis button. The app will display your scam risk as a percentage from 0 to 100%, and in four levels: low, medium, high, and dangerous.
It will compare your information with 41 types of danger signs, such as guaranteed principal, high dividends, referral rewards, and inability to withdraw funds, and explain the points to watch out for for each sign found.
Links to similar past cases and warning pages from the Financial Services Agency and other organizations are also displayed. If you're unsure what to enter, you can try tapping the example input.
■ Consultation Chat: Assess the Risk Level by Answering Questions
When you can't quite put your thoughts into words, the chat function in the consultation tab is convenient.
You'll be asked questions in order about the reason for the solicitation, the explanation of the return, the type of investment, whether there are referral bonuses, and whether you're being rushed. Each answer will indicate the risk level.
The responses are generated by judgment rules built into the app, and the content of your conversation is never transmitted externally.
■ Checklist: Self-Diagnosis with 11 Items
You can tap to check 11 common dangerous signs of investment fraud, such as being told you'll definitely make money, or being asked to pay additional fees or taxes when withdrawing funds.
The level of caution is displayed based on the number of items that apply to you.
■ Case Studies: 43 Past Investment Fraud and Trouble Cases
This section includes 43 case studies, ranging from old deposit schemes and owner schemes to the increasingly common SNS-type investment fraud impersonating celebrities, and romance investment fraud initiated through dating apps.
All information is based on publicly reported information, such as announcements from the Financial Services Agency and news reports on arrests and trials.
You can read about the details of the case, how the solicitation proceeded, what warning signs there were, and what happened afterward, along with the sources.
■ Quick access to resources for help when you're in trouble
You can call the Consumer Hotline (188) and the Police Consultation Hotline (#9110) directly from the app.
You can also access pages to search for registered companies with the Financial Services Agency and a list of unregistered companies, allowing you to verify whether the company that solicited you is registered.
If you are unsure, you can also request individual consultation (for a fee) with the operator via email.
■ Recommended for:
* Those who have been invited to invest or start a side business by someone they met on social media or a dating app.
* Those who are hesitant because a friend or acquaintance has recommended it as a guaranteed way to make money.
* Those who are worried that family members, especially elderly parents, might be involved in suspicious investment schemes.
* Those who have been recommended unlisted stocks, investment studio apartments, or high-yield overseas investment opportunities.
* Those who want to know common scam tactics before starting to invest.
* Those who have seen news about social media-based investment scams and want to check if the solicitation they received is a scam.
■ How to Use:
1. Enter the name of the solicitation and the conditions stated in the "Diagnosis" tab.
2. Press the "Diagnosis" button to check the scam risk number and any warning signs found.
3. If you still have concerns, check using the consultation chat or checklist, and consult a support center such as 188 before handing over any money.
■ Privacy and Advertising:
Diagnosis and chat are processed only on your device; the information you enter is not sent to or stored on the operator's servers. Account registration is not required. The reputation search link, which appears when the risk level exceeds a certain point, will only perform a browser search if tapped.
Banner ads will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. There are no in-app purchases.
■ Caution (Disclaimer)
This app is an informational and educational app that warns of publicly reported cases and general warning signs.
It does not definitively identify any specific person or organization as a scammer.
Even if the risk level is displayed as low, it does not guarantee safety, and new tactics or sophisticated solicitations may not be detected.
The assessment is for reference only; the final investment decision is your responsibility.
