MongleCam: Any Phone Home Cam

MongleCam turns a spare phone into a camera and shows the live view on the phone you carry. Baby's room, pets, the front door, living room, shop, office or garage — anywhere you need a camera, no extra hardware needed. Two phones you already own are all it takes.

■ Your video never touches a server

Video and audio travel directly between your devices (peer-to-peer). They don't pass through or get stored on our servers, and every stream is encrypted end to end (DTLS-SRTP). Only a small still image of a detection moment may be kept for up to 7 days so the alert can show it.

■ Connect with one QR scan

Show a QR code on the camera phone and scan it with your other phone — done. No complicated sign-up. Once paired, the connection survives even if you reinstall the app.

■ Reconnects on its own

Rebooted the router or switched between Wi-Fi and mobile data? MongleCam reconnects automatically. No black screens, no endless spinners.

■ Sound alerts

When crying or a loud noise is detected, your phone gets a notification, so you don't have to stare at the screen all day to catch what matters. Only the sound level is measured, on the device itself — no audio is sent or stored.

■ Motion detection and recording (Premium)

Detects movement of people or pets, notifies you and automatically records the moments before and after. Check the list later to see what happened while you were away.

■ Light, disconnect alerts and detection hours
Turn the camera phone's flashlight on and off from the viewer. Get notified when the camera phone goes offline or runs low on battery, and with Premium detect only on the days and times you choose.

■ Two-way talk

Listen in to what's happening — and with Premium, talk back. Handy for soothing a child or pet in another room.

■ Battery-saving standby

When no one is watching, the camera turns off and waits, starting only when someone connects. The camera phone stays cooler and uses less power while it sits on the charger.

■ Mix Android and iPhone

The camera and the viewer don't need to run the same system. Use an old Android as the camera and your iPhone as the viewer.

■ Only your own spaces
