About Wordstep Letter Ladder
Climb the ladder, one letter at a time.
Wordstep is a classic word-ladder puzzle: change one letter, form a new real
word, and step your way from a start word up to the target — CAT to DOG,
COLD to WARM, GRADE to TRACK. Every step must be a genuine word that differs
from the last by exactly one letter. Wander off the fastest path and the
ladder will still let you climb it, as long as every rung is a real word.
HOW IT WORKS
Tap a tile on your current word to select it, tap a letter on the on-screen
keyboard to swap it in, then tap Step. If the new word is valid, it becomes
the newest rung on your ladder and your path grows beneath you. Reach the
target word and the ladder is climbed. A par indicator always shows the
fewest steps a puzzle can be solved in, so you can chase a tighter path on
your next attempt.
