About Share to NAS
Share to NAS is private file sharing without the public cloud.
Share a file in Android, choose Share to NAS, and your phone sends it over encrypted FTPS directly to your own FRITZ!Box NAS. The app then creates a share link you can copy, send, or show as a QR code.
Your FRITZ!Box becomes your personal cloud-free file drop: no developer servers, no ads, no trackers, and no third-party cloud storage.
Why Share to NAS?
• Cloud-free: files are stored on your own FRITZ!NAS, not with an app provider
• Private: credentials stay encrypted on your Android device
• Direct: encrypted FTPS upload to your FRITZ!Box
• Practical: Android Share menu, copy links, send links, or show QR codes
• Multiple files: upload separately or bundle them into one ZIP
• Mobile-ready: MyFRITZ! address and external HTTPS/FTPS ports can be detected at home
• Controlled: share links with configurable validity and access limit
• Secure: HTTPS, FTPS, Android Keystore, optional biometric/device-unlock protection
• FRITZ!Box-friendly: SHA-256 certificate pinning for self-signed certificates
• Tidy: expired or used app-created shares can be removed automatically
Private instead of public cloud
Share to NAS does not operate a backend server. Selected files and FRITZ!Box credentials are not sent to the developer. The app talks only to the FRITZ!Box you configure. It is not a central cloud or P2P network; it is a direct private route from your Android device to your own NAS.
Requirements
You need a FRITZ!Box with NAS access enabled, a FRITZ!Box user with read/write NAS permission, HTTPS, and the FTP/FTPS NAS service. For access away from home, MyFRITZ! and secure Internet FTPS access must be configured on the FRITZ!Box.
Trademark notice
Share to NAS is independent and is not affiliated with AVM or FRITZ! GmbH. FRITZ!, FRITZ!Box, FRITZ!NAS, MyFRITZ!, and FRITZ!OS are protected signs or trademarks of AVM/FRITZ! GmbH or their respective owners.

What’s new
Version 1.2.1 · Updated August 21, 2026
Adds a reusable offline review login: enter username demo and password demo in Setup to access Share to NAS without a FRITZ!Box. Demo mode creates synthetic share links only; normal users still connect their own private FRITZ!Box NAS.
