About Horizon Class

Horizon Class is the app designed to support high school students—and dropouts—in their academic success through practical, accessible teaching tools designed for local realities. The app centralizes courses, exercises, past papers, planning tools, and tracking charts to transform the smartphone into a true study space.

Each library course is structured and educational: clear presentation, examples, summary sheets, and short videos. To ensure engagement and understanding, courses are locked using a simple and effective mechanism: after viewing, the learner must complete a five-question mini-assessment to unlock the next course. This principle encourages active reading and guarantees progressive learning.

Horizon Class offers a wide range of adaptive exercises—multiple-choice questions, open-ended questions, timed exercises—that can be used without an internet connection. Offline activities are stored locally and then synchronized upon the next connection: results, scores, and progress are automatically imported into the student's profile. This feature allows students to study anywhere, even in areas with poor network coverage.

The "Resources" section brings together past papers and exam questions (old baccalaureate questions), annotated answer keys, and exercise banks categorized by topic and year. These resources can be viewed online and downloaded for offline use, facilitating intensive revision before exam periods.

The Planning module helps students organize their time: creating a schedule, setting study objectives by subject, a session timer (integrated Pomodoro technique), and personalized notifications. Alerts provide reminders of scheduled sessions, assignments due, and exam dates, promoting discipline and regular work.

The Monitoring & Performance module offers a clear dashboard: progress by subject (percentage), total study time, average test scores, comparative history, and mastery indicators. Students can view their strengths and weaknesses, receive targeted revision recommendations, and track their progress over time. Badges and proficiency levels encourage motivation and celebrate progress.

Horizon Class also includes tools for teachers and tutors: creating courses, assigning exercises, tracking cohorts, and exporting performance reports. Depending on their settings, parents can receive summaries and reminders to support their children's work.

The design prioritizes simplicity and data efficiency: a lightweight interface, intuitive navigation, and optimization for basic devices. Data security and confidentiality are integrated: locally encrypted storage and consent mechanisms for child accounts.

Finally, the application offers additional features aimed at increasing engagement: weekly challenges, inter-class competitions, practical career guidance sheets, and career path suggestions related to digital sectors. Horizon Class is not just a content catalog: it is a comprehensive study assistant designed to transform learning habits, open up career opportunities, and democratize access to quality education, everywhere and for everyone.
