Wingmate - AAC Communication

Wingmate is an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) app. Type a message with the keyboard and phrases, or communicate with screens built from connected pages, fields, and symbols. Wingmate then reads your message aloud.

Wingmate is built with real-world experience with cerebral palsy and communication aids in mind. The goal is to provide each individual with a flexible and personalized voice that can be adapted to different ways of communicating.

Your phrases, Screens, and settings are stored on your device. Anonymous feature usage reporting is optional. No phrase text, Azure keys, or file paths are reported.

System TTS works offline and requires no setup or API keys. Azure TTS is optional and provides access to a larger selection of neural voices. It requires internet connectivity and your own Azure Speech subscription key. When Azure TTS is used, the text is sent to Azure to form the speech.

Wingmate is open source and released under the GPLv3
