CapLive: Subtitle Translator

Watch online videos with live subtitles and translated captions in CapLive. The app listens to speech from supported video players in its built-in browser, turns that speech into readable subtitles, and translates the text into the language you choose. You can follow a lecture, interview, tutorial, documentary, or other online video without switching between a browser and a separate translation app.

LIVE VIDEO SUBTITLES
CapLive generates captions from the audio of a video as it plays. When you choose a target language, translated subtitles appear over the video. This makes it easier to follow spoken content when you are learning a language, watching a video in another language, or reading along in a noisy environment.

VIDEO TRANSLATION ON YOUR DEVICE
Choose the video's spoken language and the language you want to read. Download the speech recognition and translation models needed for that pair in the Models tab. After the models are downloaded, speech recognition and translation run on your Android device. An internet connection is still needed to load online videos and to download models for the first time. Available languages and language pairs are shown in the app; some pairs use an additional translation model.

SUBTITLES THAT FIT YOUR SCREEN
Change the subtitle text size and color, add an outline, adjust the background, and move the subtitle overlay to a position that is comfortable to read. You can also show the original spoken text alongside the translation. These controls help you read captions on different videos and screen sizes.

A BUILT-IN VIDEO BROWSER
Open a video link or search the web from inside CapLive. The browser includes multiple tabs, bookmarks, browsing history, and private tabs. It also blocks some disruptive ads and pop-ups on video websites, so you can stay focused on the video.

HOW TO GET STARTED
1. Open Models and select the spoken language and translation language.
2. Download the required model kit. A Wi-Fi connection is recommended for larger downloads.
3. Open Watch, paste a video link, and play the video.
4. Customize the subtitles to suit the video and your screen.

CapLive is useful for watching foreign-language videos, following educational videos, reading speech as captions, and translating online video dialogue. Its live subtitle and video translation features work with supported audio from web video players. Some websites restrict access to their player's audio, so subtitles may be unavailable on those videos. Caption timing and accuracy can vary with the audio, language, selected model, and device performance.

CapLive does not host or provide the videos you watch. Video content remains on the websites you choose to visit.
