SkipAdvert – Skip YouTube Ads

Grabbing your phone every time an ad interrupts your podcast, sleep playlist, or workout video? SkipAdvert is an automatic ad skipper: it taps the Skip button for you the instant it becomes tappable.

Enable it once and forget it. SkipAdvert watches for the Skip button inside the YouTube app and presses it immediately — in portrait and landscape — so your music or podcast keeps playing hands-free. It skips video adverts automatically, so you don't have to.

WHAT IT DOES
• Auto-taps the Skip button on skippable video ads the moment it appears
• Works in both portrait and landscape orientation
• Skip counter: see how many ads SkipAdvert has already skipped for you
• Detects the Skip button in 28 languages — whatever your device language
• Built-in setup guidance for Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo, Huawei, Honor, and ZTE devices that restrict background services

HOW IT WORKS
SkipAdvert uses Android's built-in Accessibility Service, scoped only to the YouTube app. It reads the on-screen button labels inside YouTube to find the Skip button, then performs a tap — the same action you would do with your finger. No modified YouTube app, no root access, no VPN, no network tricks.

PERFECT FOR
• Background podcast listening — no more fumbling for your phone mid-episode
• Falling asleep to music, white noise, or ASMR without ads waking you up
• Cooking, driving, or exercising with YouTube playing nearby
• Anyone who finds it difficult to tap small on-screen buttons within a short time window

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
• Does not block or remove ads — it taps Skip when the button appears, just like you would
• Does not work on unskippable ads (there is no Skip button to tap)
• Does not work with YouTube Music, YouTube Kids, or third-party YouTube clients
• Does not modify the YouTube app in any way

PRIVACY
SkipAdvert is scoped exclusively to the YouTube app (com.google.android.youtube). It physically cannot observe any other app on your device. It does not request internet access, shows no ads of its own, has no analytics and no tracking — it does not collect, store, or transmit any data. See the full privacy policy linked below.

SETUP IN 30 SECONDS
1. Open SkipAdvert
2. Tap "Open Accessibility Settings"
3. Find SkipAdvert, turn it on
4. Play YouTube — done

Lightweight: under 2 MB to download, with no background battery drain — the service only runs while YouTube is on screen.
