About Bripplex

Bripplex turns the phone in your pocket into a node of a global environmental
intelligence network. Researchers, universities, and environmental agencies
need data from places traditional ground stations don't reach — oceans, rural
roads, remote trails, dense cities. You can help fill that gap.

HOW IT WORKS
Start a contribution session whenever you want to participate. Bripplex reads
your device's sensors — location, motion, ambient light, barometric pressure,
and more — and uploads the data anonymously. End the session when you're done.

That's it.

WHAT WE COLLECT
• Location (GPS coordinates, speed, altitude, bearing)
• Motion (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, device orientation)
• Atmospheric pressure (barometer)
• Ambient light (lux)
• Microphone amplitude — never audio, only loudness
• Step counts
• Cellular signal info
• Optional: snapshot of installed app names

What we never collect: your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos,
files, browsing history, or device identifiers.

PRIVACY FIRST
• 100% anonymous — anonymous Firebase ID, no account, no PII
• Microphone records sound levels only, never audio content
• Individual GPS tracks stay aggregated into 250 km contribution areas before
research delivery — your specific movements are never sold

ACHIEVEMENTS AND LEADERBOARDS
Unlock achievements as you contribute. Climb global and per-area leaderboards
as the community grows. Tag your sessions by activity mode — walking,
running, driving, cycling, train, flying, sailing — so researchers can filter
data by context.

WHO BENEFITS
Aggregated Bripplex data is licensed to researchers studying mobility, urban
climate, weather, connectivity, and environmental change. When data from your
area is licensed, you may be rewarded through Bripplex-run campaigns in that
region.

REQUIRES
• Android 8.0 or later
• Location permission ("While using the app" is fine)
• Microphone permission (amplitude only)
• Approximately 50 MB storage
