A top-down arena shooter roguelike where you play as the old wizard who protects the forest against hordes of corrupted enemies. Choose your own magical abilities as you level up to create your own version of the character.

The forest is under attack and only you can save it.

Roots & Runes is a fast-paced action game where you play as an ancient wizard fighting to protect the heart of a mystical forest.

The forest once known as a Utopia has now fallen corrupt for unknown reasons, the creatures you once cared for as the guardian of the forest are now coming to destroy the forest core, The Shroom of Life.

Use your magical powers to defend against the waves of corrupted creatures.

Every enemy you defeat returns strength to the forest. Every second you hesitate, the heart grows weaker.
