About CU Biometrics

CU Biometrics assist Covenant University Faculties in capturing student attendance during a lecture in real-time.
It allows the faculty to set the class course code and then ask each student to capture their picture and enter their Matric-No. Thereafter, the list of the students present can be viewed and uploaded to the CU Portal.

How to use
Step 1: Setting Course Code
1.1 Go to the menu at the top left
1.2 Select SET COURSE CODE
1.3 Type the course code. e.g CHE521
1.4 Go back to Menu and Select TAKE ATTENDANCE

Step 2 (For Students)
2.1 On the TAKE ATTENDANCE page
2.2 Each student Tap the CAPTURE button
2.3 Fill in their Matric No.
2.4 Confirm if the RegNo and Names displayed are yours.
2.5 Then SUBMIT

Step 3 (For Instructors)
After class
3.1 Go to Menu
3.2 Select BROWSE
3.3 Select Course and Date
3.4 Pick a specific Attendance
3.5 Go to the top right and select the three vertical dots
3.6 Select EXPORT CU ATTENDANCE then Share the Attendance (with Google Drive, Email, Whatsapp and Other Apps)
3.7 Go to CU Portal (https://cuportal.covenantuniversity.edu.ng) and Upload the Shared Attendance

Step 0 (One time)
Import Student Data for further identification.
0.1 Download the student list from your portal and create a three-column csv file with a header (Matricno, Regno, Names)
0.2 Go to Menu
0.3 Select IMPORT DATA
0.4 Tap the IMPORT STUDENT DATA button
0.5 Chose the csv file you created.
