DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY

• Works 100% locally: Your PIN is securely hashed (PBKDF2 with a unique salt) directly on your phone.

• No data collection: MyAppLock does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or usage history.

REQUIRED PERMISSIONS AND JUSTIFICATION

• Access to usage data (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Required to detect when a protected application is open in the foreground.

• Overlay on other applications (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to display the PIN entry screen over the locked application.

• Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Ensures that protection remains stable in the background.

• Device administrator (DEVICE_ADMIN): Optional, used only if you enable uninstall protection.
