About Ice Harvest

Ice Harvest is a level-based winter fishing game set on a frozen lake. The player fishes through an ice hole and must catch specific types and amounts of fish to complete each level. Every level has a target list of fish (e.g. Trout, Perch, Arctic Fish, and rare catches like Small Ice Shark or Rare Deep Catch), a limited number of fishing attempts, and a clean static interface. When all targets are met, the level is complete; if attempts run out first, the player sees a lose screen. There are no timers and no moving elements except the fish swimming horizontally under the ice.

The game screen shows the level number, the target fish list with current and required counts, remaining attempts, and a central “ice hole” area where fish move horizontally. The player has a fishing rod and a Catch button: when a fish is under the hook, tapping Catch pulls it up with a short animation and adds it to the bucket. Fish spawn in the water according to what the level needs, so catching the right type is easier when the goal is clear. The bucket displays all caught fish by type; the target panel updates instantly as the player progresses.

The game includes fifteen levels with increasing difficulty. Levels 1–5 use one or two fish types and ten attempts with easy odds; levels 6–10 use three fish types and eight or nine attempts; levels 11–15 require four or more fish types, including rare fish, with six to eight attempts. Levels unlock one after another, and each stores the best result and a star rating (1–3) based on attempts left. After winning, a victory dialog shows fish collected, attempts remaining, and star rating, with buttons for Next Level and Level Select. On defeat, the player can Retry or go to Level Select.

The app has a welcome screen with Play, Level Select, Achievements, and Settings; a level selection grid of fifteen levels with locked and completed states; an achievements screen with eight achievements (e.g. First Catch, Arctic Fisher, Rare Hunter, completing 5 or all levels, Perfect Catch); and a settings screen with sound toggle, light/dark winter theme, and reset progress. All progress is saved locally using Hive (unlocked levels, stars, achievements, settings).

The visual style is minimalistic and cold: ice blue, white, steel gray, and dark navy, with frosted panels, rounded corners, and soft shadows. The game can use a custom winter lake background image; if none is provided, a gradient in the same palette is shown. The tone is atmospheric and calm, with no cartoon or childish design.
