Flag Geography Quiz

Flag Geography Quiz is a geography trainer for short sessions. Students and casual players can match a simplified flag to its country, pair a country with its capital, or read a country outline. A mixed run rotates all three. Eighty country cards are built into the install, so you can practice with no account and no connection.

What a round asks
Flag match: name the country from a simplified flag.
Capitals: pair a country with its capital city.
Outlines: read a silhouette on the plate.
Mixed run: flags, capitals, and outlines in one short set.

Where you play
Choose the whole world, or limit the bank to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, or Oceania. Prompts are multiple choice. The other answers favor neighbors and the same region, so a miss still sits next to a place you can learn.

Set up a challenge
From Start challenge, pick a question type and a region, then a length of 5, 10, or 15 prompts. Choose 3 or 5 map pins. Pins work like lives: each miss spends one, and the run stops when none remain. The result is saved either way. Turn the peek compass on if you want a nudge. On that prompt it can grey out one wrong choice. It does not reveal the answer. You can pause a run and pick it up again on the same phone. Misses from the run go to your review list.

Today's atlas
The home screen opens a daily 10-prompt mix tied to the calendar day on your device. The set stays put until midnight, so you can leave and finish later. Completing it keeps a pin streak. Home shows how far you are in today's ten, your streak, and a sample of regional coverage. An optional reminder can ping you at a time you choose. It is off until you turn it on. Denying notifications does not block any quiz.

Study the bank
Before a challenge, open any of the 80 country cards. Each card shows a simplified flag, the capital, neighbors, and a short fact that can work as a hint. Save cards you want to revisit, then start a short quiz from a region or from a saved country.

After the round
Wrong answers are kept on the device. Filter misses by flags, capitals, or outlines, then drill them. History keeps finished runs with region, length, and score, and you can replay a set. The atlas tracks separate results for flags, capitals, and outlines, and it shows how much of the built-in bank you have mapped, including each region. Four seals mark milestones already in the app: First pin, for finishing a run; 7-day atlas, for a daily streak; Continent scout, for covering 60 percent of a region; and Outline ace, for scoring 80 percent or better on an outlines run.

A first session
You can skip the short intro or read its three pages, then land on the home screen. Start today's atlas, or tap a question type and build your own round. Afterward, open Misses to drill slips, Atlas to see coverage, or a country card to study the flag, capital, and neighbors. Use 5 prompts when you have a few minutes, and 15 when you want a longer drill on one region. The daily set is there for a steady habit. Custom challenges are there when you want to focus.

Stored on this phone
Version 1.0 keeps progress, saved cards, misses, and history in local storage. There is no sign-in and no cloud sync. Export a backup file when you want a copy, and clear everything only after a confirmation step. This version has no ads and no in-app purchases. The quiz does not request location, contacts, or other sensitive permissions. Notifications are asked for only if you enable the daily reminder. A paper theme and a night theme are included in Settings.

Please note
Flags, borders, and names are simplified for practice. They are a study aid, not an official or political map. Country drawings are not a substitute for a current atlas.
