About FitX On-Demand
FitX On-Demand brings the fitness classes from your gym, studio, or apartment community to your phone — and to your TV.
Before you download: you need a login from your facility
FitX is licensed by gyms, fitness studios, and apartment communities for their members. There is no public sign-up in the app, and no way to create an account yourself. You sign in with the email address and password your facility gives you — ask the front desk or your property manager if you don't have one yet. If your gym or community doesn't offer FitX, there won't be anything here for you to watch.
What's in the library
64 full-length classes across 20 categories: Ab & Core, Boot Camp, Bootie Camp, Combo, Cycle, Dance, Express, FitBench, Functional Training, HIIT, Intervals, Kettlebell, Lower Body, Pilates, Prism Rack, Step, Stretch, Total Body, Upper Body, and Yoga.
Classes run from 15 minutes to a full hour, and each is marked beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Every class shows its length, level, and coach before you start, so you know what you're getting into.
Watching on your phone
Browse by category from the home screen or the Library tab. Open a class to read the details, then press play. The player keeps it simple: play, pause, and 10-second skips forward and back.
The home screen also features a Workout of the Day. It changes daily and it's the same pick for everyone, which makes it easy to do a class alongside a friend.
Your phone is also the remote
Install FitX On-Demand TV on your Android TV or Google TV, and the phone app can send classes to it.
Pairing takes one step. The TV displays a 6-digit code. Open the TV tab on your phone, type the code in, and the two are linked. The TV remembers the pairing, so you only do this once.
After that, open any class and tap Play on TV. The class starts on the big screen and your phone becomes the remote — play, pause, skip forward or back 10 seconds, and watch the progress bar move. You can also see at a glance whether the TV is online.
Your phone and your TV don't need to be on the same Wi-Fi. They connect through the cloud, so this works even when your phone is on cellular data. No Chromecast and no extra hardware involved.
You can pair more than one TV, rename each one so you can tell them apart, and remove any TV you no longer use.
Good to know
- Classes stream over the internet. There are no offline downloads, so you'll need a connection to play anything.
- No ads, and nothing to buy inside the app. Your facility handles the arrangement on their end.
- Exercise carries risk. Work at your own pace, and check with a healthcare provider before starting a new routine.
