First Step Parent

First Step Parent is the official mobile app for parents of First Step Public School. Stay updated about your child's school day in one place — without calls, paper diaries, or chasing teachers.

⭐ Designed for busy parents
• Sign in once with your child's admission number — get a WhatsApp or SMS OTP, set a 4-digit PIN, and you're done.
• Re-open the app instantly with PIN or fingerprint. No password to remember.
• Have more than one child at the school? Switch between them with one tap.

📚 Everything you need at a glance
• Fees: see what's pending, what's paid, and download receipts.
• Attendance: monthly view of presents, absents, and leaves.
• Homework & classwork: never miss what was assigned today.
• Notices: holidays, fee reminders, PTM dates, and important updates.
• School events: the upcoming calendar at your fingertips.
• Push notifications: instant alerts for important announcements.

🔒 Built with privacy first
• PIN is stored only on your device (Android Keystore). It never leaves your phone.
• 5 wrong PIN attempts wipe the stored session — so a lost phone is safe.
• OTPs expire in 5 minutes and are rate-limited.
• No ads. No tracking. No data sold to third parties.

👨‍👩‍👧 Multi-child support
If you have two or more children at First Step Public School, all of them are linked to your one account automatically. Use the child switcher at the top of every screen to jump between them.

📱 How to get started
1. Open the app and tap "Continue with OTP".
2. Enter your child's admission number (printed on the school ID card — there is also a QR code on the card you can scan).
3. We send a 6-digit OTP on the parent number registered with the school (WhatsApp first, SMS fallback).
4. Enter the OTP and choose a 4-digit PIN.
5. Done — you're in.

If you don't receive an OTP, your mobile number may not be on file with the school. Please call the school office and ask them to update it.

ℹ️ This app is for parents of currently enrolled students. It is not a public-facing service.
