About Chikuta: Earn Screen Time
"Just five more minutes!" "You've been playing for an hour!"
Chikuta turns daily battles over games and videos into a calm routine: earn time, choose how to use it, and watch it run out on a clock.
Chikuta is a time bank for the family. Kids save up playtime by finishing chores and homework, and decide for themselves how to spend it. When they start, an analog clock shows the remaining time in color, so even kids who can't read a clock yet understand: when the color is gone, playtime is over. It's a visual timer and chore chart that helps families keep screen time rules without nagging.
GREAT FOR FAMILIES WHO
- Struggle to stop games and videos
- Have time rules that don't stick because kids can't feel "how many minutes are left"
- Find themselves nagging all day
- Want chores and homework to become a habit
- Want kids to learn how to manage time and money, like an allowance
HOW IT WORKS
1. Parents set to-dos and the minutes each one earns (or pick from suggestions)
2. Kids tap "Done!" when they finish
3. Parents approve, a thank-you card arrives, and coins rain down as the time is saved
4. To play, kids choose the minutes and what to use them for, then tap Start
FEATURES
- Visual clock timer: see at a glance when playtime ends, making transitions easier
- Thank-you cards and rewards: kids see their effort add up, like points or stickers, and feel how their help mattered
- Passbook: every minute saved and used is recorded; a monthly report shows charts and a calendar
- Time interest: saved minutes slowly grow, a gentle way to learn about saving and compound interest (no real money involved)
- PIN-protected parent area for approvals and settings; one shared phone or tablet is all you need
- Optional email account to keep your data when you change devices
- Available in English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and German
PLEASE NOTE
- Chikuta does not block or lock apps on the device. It helps families keep the time rules they agree on, in a way kids can see.
- Ads appear only in the parent area, never on screens children use.
