Welcome to Society GLO

Society GLO is a free, location-based community bulletin board that helps people stay informed about what’s happening in their local communities. The app connects residents with important resources, opportunities, and civic information based on where they live.

Society GLO helps bridge the gap between community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, city leaders, and elected officials—and the people they serve—by making local information easy to find and accessible to everyone.

Key Features:

• Location-based community posts
• Seven categories: All, Resources, Jobs, Civics, Community, Health, and Events
• Civic information sourced directly from official government websites
• No login or registration required for general users
• No algorithms, likes, followers, comments, or social media features

Society GLO uses your location (with permission) to display only information that is relevant to your city, county, or state. This ensures users see timely and meaningful updates that matter to their community.

Unlike social media platforms, Society GLO is focused solely on sharing helpful, factual, and community-driven information. By removing engagement-based features, the app prioritizes clarity, trust, and positive community impact.

The Civics section helps users learn about their local elected officials and better understand how local government works. By making civic information more accessible, Society GLO supports informed and engaged communities.
Society GLO is built to highlight the people and organizations doing positive work and to make community information available to everyone.

Together, let’s help our communities GLO UP.
