About Wingmail
Wingmail is a letter-writing app where messages travel the way they used to: slowly, across real distance, carried by a pigeon.
Write to someone and the bird sets off. It flies at about 60 km/h, rests after four hours in the air, and arrives when it arrives — minutes if your friend is across town, hours across the country, days across the world. You cannot rush it. That is the point.
HOW IT WORKS
Choose your mark
Everyone has a handle, like @yourname. Share it as a link or a QR code. It is yours permanently, and nobody can take it.
Set your loft
Pick the town or area your letters fly from. Wingmail stores only the area you choose, never your exact address, and that is all anyone else sees.
Write and seal
Write your letter and send it. Once it is gone it cannot be edited or called back. The pigeon has already left.
Watch the flight
Follow the route on a map: the distance covered, the rest stops along the way, the moment the bird nears its destination.
Break the seal
The words are not on the recipient's phone until the letter lands. Not hidden — genuinely not there yet. The wait is real, not a countdown.
Answer, or turn it away
A first letter is a request. Take it in and you are connected. Turn it away and that letter stops there. Nobody writes to you twice unasked.
Leave a mark
Press and hold a letter you have read to react, and the sender sees it on their copy.
WHAT WINGMAIL IS NOT
No feed. No likes to count. No algorithm deciding who you hear from. No notifications begging you to come back. One letter at a time in each direction, to people you chose.
Wingmail is built for the kind of correspondence worth waiting for: a long letter to a friend in another city, a note to someone you do not speak to often enough, a message you actually thought about before sending.
The pigeon is already on its way.
