The Rad Keyboard

Created out of a frustration that just about everyone can relate to. QWERTY works fine with four fingers and a thumb but on a cellphone where it is just two thumbs, it makes no sense. With the inclusion of swiping didn't make things better. QWERTY wasn't designed with swiping in mind; zig-zagging all over the keyboard. Those people wanting to use swiping adapting to using a pointer finger to type.

I've spent the last fifteen years trying every keyboard app that used a new keyboard design and none of them made any sense. Always going back to QWERTY keyboard layouts like a toxic relationship that I couldn't get out of. Hating every minute of it.

Had the idea for a radial design with the consonants surrounding the vowels. Wanting swiping to be an enjoyable feature; swiping down to the vowels, and the design matured from there. Having two letter combinations throughout came out of design changes when it started morphing into an X shape. End goal was to make typing on a cellphone like typing on a keyboard; with everything right there at your finger tips.
