Accessibility Service

NinaNino uses Android's Accessibility Service because it is required to provide its core parental control features. With the parent's explicit permission, Accessibility is used to:

• Block selected applications
• Restrict access to distracting short-form content when enabled by the parent
• Enforce screen time limits and schedules
• Lock the child's device according to parental rules and schedules
• Apply parental control restrictions that help children stay focused and build healthy digital habits

Accessibility permission is requested only after the parent chooses to enable these features and is used exclusively for providing parental controls configured by the parent.

NinaNino does not use Accessibility Services to collect personal information, record keystrokes, capture passwords, monitor unrelated user activity, or for advertising purposes. The Accessibility Service is used solely to provide the parental control features described above.

Web Protection & VPN
NinaNino uses Android VpnService to provide parental web protection on a child’s device. When enabled by a parent, a local VPN connection helps filter and block inappropriate or parent-blocked websites and domains. VpnService is used only for parental control and device protection. It is not used to change device location, serve advertising, or monetize network traffic.

Location Safety
NinaNino provides parent-controlled location safety features including Locate Now and Safe Areas. Locate Now lets a parent request the child's current device location when needed. Safe Areas use location in the background, including when the app is closed or not in use, to notify the parent when the child's device enters or leaves a configured location. Location is used only for these parental safety features and is not used for advertising.
