DropBay: NAS Download Station

DropBay sends torrent files and magnet links from your phone to Download Station on your Synology NAS. Tap a .torrent file or share a magnet link from any app, and your NAS starts downloading it — no browser, no computer, no copying links by hand. The NAS does the BitTorrent work, so your phone's battery and data plan stay out of it.

The add screen opens with every file selected and your last folder filled in, so one tap sends it. When you want only part of a torrent, open the file list and untick what you don't need before the download starts.

• Pause, resume or remove one task or many at once (removing keeps the files)
• Task details: per-file progress, trackers, peers and transfer statistics

SIGN IN ONCE, SAFELY
• Finds your Synology NAS on your Wi-Fi, or type its address
• Supports DSM two-step verification
• Stays signed in, and never retries a refused password on its own, so it will not lock your phone out through DSM's Auto Block
• HTTPS only. A self-signed certificate is shown to you and trusted only if you say so
• Your password is encrypted with a key held in your phone's secure hardware

WHAT YOU NEED
• A Synology NAS running DSM 7 with the Download Station package installed
• An address your phone can reach: your home network, your own domain or a VPN. QuickConnect is not supported
• Tip: sign in with a DSM account that can use only Download Station and File Station
