About Casa da Palavra

The House of Words is a community for adults who want to better understand life through language.
Many people perceive problems in relationships, culture, their children's education, the way they live or see the world, but they cannot name exactly what bothers them. Often they lack the repertoire, vocabulary precision, and clarity to transform diffuse perceptions into articulate thought, and it is language that allows them to see and describe reality clearly for the first time.
At the House, language is not presented as a set of grammatical rules. For that, there is already the Irresistible Text (Good Writing and Normative Grammar Course) and Expressing Law. Here, language is treated as a central part of human life because it permeates the way we think, speak, love, educate, interpret books, conduct conversations, form our imagination, and participate in culture.

It appears both in a conversation between husband and wife and in the education of a child, in the interpretation of a novel, in the way we describe our own suffering, or in the difficulty of expressing something we have felt for years but have never been able to say precisely.
The House is divided into themed rooms focused on different aspects of the human experience.
In the Library, there are classes, annotated readings, and training content on language, rhetoric, literature, grammar, and culture.
In the Children's Room, we discuss education, childhood, children's imagination, and the linguistic development of children.
In the Couple's Bedroom, we talk about language in affective relationships, coexistence, and intimate communication.
The Living Room brings together conversations and reflections with guests on culture, language, and everyday life.
On the Balcony, I mainly do an annotated reading of the Weekly Letters, which I send weekly to all subscribers.
The Closet addresses image, aesthetics, and personal presentation.
The TV Room brings together YouTube videos that directly relate to the themes of the House.
Furthermore, there are spaces for welcoming, manifestos, and ongoing interaction among members.
The House of Words was not created for quick consumption of content. It exists for people who wish to cultivate repertoire, clarity, and intellectual presence over time — without affectation, without superficiality, and without turning culture into a fetish.

It is a space for those who take language seriously because they realize that it shapes the way we see the world, others, and ourselves.
