Craps Lab: Strategy Tester

Craps Lab is a full craps table you can actually play — and a measuring instrument for the betting systems people swear by.

Play the table by hand. Pass and don't pass, come and don't come, odds behind the line and laid behind the don't, place and buy and lay every box number, hardways, the field, C&E and every hop. Tap a spot or drag a chip onto it. The 4 and the 10 get bought instead of placed once the bet is big enough to be worth the commission, exactly the way a real box would book it.

Then find out what it costs.

MEASURED, NOT ARGUED ABOUT

Twenty betting systems ship with the app, four of them free — the Iron Cross, the Three Point Molly, the Knockout, the Hammerlock, regression and pressing systems, the dark side, and the plain pass line to judge them all against. Tap STATS on any of them and the app plays 10,000 sessions of 200 rolls on the table you are sitting at, then tells you:

• the house edge
• what an average session actually costs you
• how often you finish ahead
• how often you bust out
• and how much money you need to bring

That last one is the number nobody tells you. A system's house edge says what it costs per dollar wagered. It says nothing about how deep your pocket has to be to survive the swings. Craps Lab measures both, and they do not agree: the cheapest system on the list by house edge needs six times the bankroll of one that costs eight times as much per dollar.

Every strategy in the chooser shows what it wants you to sit down with, against what you are actually holding.

BUILD YOUR OWN

Choose the line, the odds, the come and don't come bets and how many run at once, the field, and which numbers you cover and for how much. Test it over 10,000 sessions before you risk a chip on it.

FOUR TABLES

$5 bubble, $10, $15 and $25 — all at 3-4-5x odds, all with a $3,000 maximum, the way real tables book it. Odds are exempt from the maximum, and the dark side is capped on what the lay wins rather than what it costs, so a $25 don't pass lays $300 behind the 4. The numbers are right because the engine is the same one that runs the simulation.

NO REAL MONEY

Craps Lab is a simulator and a strategy tester. There are no chips for sale, no ads, no accounts, and nothing of value can be won or lost. It collects no information about you — the dice, the payouts and the simulation all run on your device.

FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE

The whole table and every bet on it, played by hand, is free forever. So are four of the strategies, the strategy builder, and measuring anything you build over 10,000 sessions.

A one-time $4.99 unlock adds the other sixteen systems, their measured house edge and bust rates, the bankroll each one actually needs, and room to save more strategies of your own. One payment, no subscription, and it is restored free on a new phone. Nothing you already have is ever taken away.
