EMF Radar - Metal Detector

Turn your phone into a simple metal detector and magnetic field meter. EMF Radar reads your phone's built-in magnetometer and shows the magnetic field around you live, in microtesla (µT) or milligauss (mG).

Tap Zero, then slide your phone slowly along a wall, floor or table. Near iron or steel (screws, nails, pipes, rebar, tools) the reading rises and the beeps and vibration speed up. Choose Low, Medium or High sensitivity.

A clear gauge and a real-time graph show the field strength in µT. Earth's natural field is about 25 to 65 µT; magnets, speakers, motors and some appliances read much higher.

Hold still for 15 seconds and get the average, minimum and maximum, plus a short verdict you can save or share.

Zero the phone on the wall, slide it sideways and Wall Scan plots the sweep and holds the strongest magnetic point. Slide back: the bar fills and the beeps speed up until you are on it. Useful as a stud finder for screws, nails, steel studs and steel pipes.

WHAT A PHONE SENSOR CAN AND CAN'T DETECT
• Works best with iron, steel, nickel and magnets.
• Gold, silver, copper and aluminium are not magnetic, so they give weak or no readings.
• Wires show up only while current flows. Wood and plastic are not detected.
• Wi-Fi, mobile and other radio signals can't be measured by a magnetometer.
• Results depend on your phone's sensor. Remove magnetic cases and keep away from other phones and speakers.
EMF Radar is a helpful tool, not a certified instrument. Always use a proper detector before drilling near electrical wiring.
