Clipperjay: Web Clipper

Clipperjay takes a page out of the browser and files it where the rest of your thinking lives. Open an article, tap Share, choose Clipperjay — pick how to capture it, mark up what matters, and choose the OneNote notebook, section and page it belongs on.

THREE WAYS TO TAKE A PAGE

• Read-mode. Strips ads, banners and cookie walls, then rebuilds the article as clean text set on warm paper. Images and captions come along; the clutter does not.

• Full-page screenshot. Scrolls the whole page and stitches it into one image. Use it when the layout carries the meaning — a receipt, a chart, a page you may need to prove looked this way.

• Snippet. Select the part that matters and send only that, with the source title, URL and clip date attached underneath.

The choice sticks per site, so you rarely think about it twice.

MARK IT UP BEFORE IT LANDS

• Highlighter in five colours, laid behind the text rather than over it — highlights arrive in OneNote as real highlights, not a flattened picture.
• Notes pinned to a paragraph, filed above the clip so you meet your own thinking first.
• Redaction for the parts you would rather not keep.

STRAIGHT INTO YOUR NOTEBOOKS

Sign in with the account that holds your OneNote notebooks. Clipperjay reads the tree you already built and writes into it — notebook, section and page, chosen before you save. No shadow inbox to clear out later. Clip a site you visit often and Clipperjay remembers the destination, so the next save is one tap. Filed it wrong? Move it from the toast, or from the clip library, without opening OneNote.

CLIPS WAIT FOR SIGNAL

Clip on a plane or in a basement and the clip queues on the device. It renders and uploads on its own the next time you are online.

READ-MODE RUNS ON YOUR PHONE

An ordinary article is fetched and cleaned up on the device, so it costs nothing and never passes through our servers. Only screenshots and pages that are built by JavaScript need a real browser, and only those reach a renderer.
