Web Activity: Web Live Updates

Web Activity brings real-time updates to the places you actually look: your lock screen, the status bar, and the top of your notifications. Start a live activity and watch it update in real time, an order on its way, a score changing, a countdown ticking down, a status moving forward, without unlocking your phone or opening an app.

WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
• Progress: orders, deliveries, rides, downloads, and multi-step tasks, shown as a segmented progress bar with a moving tracker.
• Versus: two sides with live scores for games, matches, and auctions, score right in the status bar.
• Countdown: a live timer ticking down in the status bar to a launch, a drop, or a kickoff.
• Picture: a photo-forward card for arrivals, listings, and live moments.

HOW IT WORKS
Scan a QR code from a participating website, or choose a Featured Experience right inside the app. The activity arrives as a live notification that keeps itself up to date, and the in-app Track page shows a live preview card for everything you follow. Turn any activity on or off whenever you like.

BUILT FOR ANDROID 16
On Android 16 and newer, activities appear as Live Updates: a chip in the status bar, a card pinned at the top of your notifications, and a glanceable presence on your lock screen. On earlier versions of Android (8.0 and up), the same activities arrive as ongoing notifications.

FOR DEVELOPERS
Add live activities to your product straight from your backend with a few HTTP calls. Start an activity, update it as things change, and end it when the job is done. The same API renders natively on Android and iOS. Full documentation is built into the app.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads, no account required, and your data is never sold. An anonymous identifier delivers the activities you choose to receive, privacy-conscious usage analytics help us improve the app, and Clear All Data resets everything on your device at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Install once, and the apps and sites that support Web Activity can keep you updated at a glance.
