About Masaruna
Masaruna (مسارنا, "our path") is an app for keeping up with daily worship and personal practice. You pick a few commitments, mark them off as you go, and a small circle of people you trust can see that you kept them. Checking in takes about ten seconds.
The daily loop
1. Pick your commitments. Choose from the library (the five prayers, a daily juz, morning adhkar), or write your own if the library doesn't have what you meant.
2. Check in. Open the app, tap what you finished, and get on with your day.
3. Let your circle see. They see that you kept up, and you see the same for them.
What is inside
Track the five prayers, a daily juz, morning adhkar, or what you are memorising. You choose which days each commitment falls on and whether it reminds you. Masaruna suggests keeping a few things well rather than a long list, but it will not stop you from adding more.
If the library does not cover something, write it yourself. Name it the way you would say it, put it where it belongs in your day, and it works like any other commitment. It stays on your device, and nobody else sees it.
Invite family or close friends into a circle. They can see that you kept a commitment for the day and nothing beyond that: no details, and no leaderboard.
Arabic and English are both complete; please avoid a single interface with a translation on the side. The text runs in its own direction, the date leads with the Hijri month, and each language uses the numerals it actually writes.
Look back over weeks and months whenever you want. Nothing turns red, and missing a Tuesday does not break a streak, because there are no streaks. There is no score either, and a day you skipped is drawn the same way as a day that has not come yet.
Reminders: one per commitment, or only on the days that commitment applies. They stay quiet by default and say nothing about the days you missed.
Everything Masaruna stores lives on your device, and every screen works with no network at all. You do not need an account for any of it. If you want your record to survive a lost phone, you can sign in and turn on backup, and you can delete that account and everything in it from inside the app.
Free to download. No ads, and nothing to buy or unlock.
