A receipt, a signed letter, a few pages from a notebook. There's no need to have a printer or office scanner around when you need a digital copy.

The page doesn't have to be perfectly lined up when you take the picture. You can adjust the borders afterward, cut out the table or background and straighten the scan. Check the result before adding it to your PDF.

A longer form or contract may take several scans. Each new page can go into the document you're already working on, rather than becoming a separate PDF.

📑 CONVERT PHOTOS AND IMAGES TO PDF

Already took a picture of the document yesterday? You don't need to take another one.

Open the photo to PDF converter and pick the pictures from your gallery. JPG images can be turned into PDF files too, and several photos can go into one document.

A folder of photos doesn't always make sense to send as separate attachments. If the pictures belong to the same document, select them together and use the PDF maker to create one file. You can still check the page order before saving.

Not every scan comes out right the first time.

Say you've scanned four pages and only then noticed that page two is upside down. You don't have to start the whole thing again. Open the PDF editor, rotate that page and put it back where it belongs.

There's also the option to crop a page again or change the order of several scans. Finished PDFs can be saved alongside your other documents, rather than being left somewhere in the photo gallery.

Ever tried copying an address from a photo of a letter? You can't just select the words the way you would in a message.

OCR is there for that sort of thing. Point the camera at the page or open a picture you've already taken, then copy the text you need.

It could be a name from a letter, an address on a form or a paragraph from your notes. The OCR scanner saves you from having to type it out yourself.

✍️ SIGN AND SHARE DOCUMENTS

Someone emails you a form, and there's a space at the bottom for your signature. Instead of printing it out, you can put your signature on the PDF and keep a copy on your phone.

Maybe it's a signed form for work, or a few pages you've scanned for someone else. Once you're done, the PDF is there on your phone whenever you need to send it.

📂 KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK IN ONE PLACE

A warranty receipt from last month, a copy of your lease, that form you filled out for work. They're all the sort of papers you might need again, even if you only looked at them once.

Maybe the receipt is just one page, while the lease runs to six or seven. You can scan both, keeping each document in its own PDF rather than mixing the pages together.

And if that form comes up again months later, you already have a digital copy sitting on your phone. There's no reason to photograph the original paperwork twice.
