🤝 HONEST ABOUT LIMITS

Password-protected PDFs are declined rather than opened. Compressing rewrites a file and the original protection cannot be restored, so handing back an unprotected copy would be the wrong outcome.

Some PDFs are already efficiently built. When that happens the app tells you and returns your original untouched, instead of a rewritten file the same size.
