Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled for June 2022 with 6 teams participating in the event.
The 2022 Asia Cup is scheduled to be the 15th edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament, with the matches being played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Sri Lanka. Originally scheduled to be held in September 2020, It was then rescheduled to take place in Sri Lanka in June 2021. Pakistan was scheduled to host the tournament after retaining the rights to host the 2022 edition. However, in October 2021, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced that Sri Lanka would host the tournament in 2022, with Pakistan hosting the 2023 edition. India is the defending champion.

A total of six teams will be participating in the Asia Cup 2022 this year. Five teams including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are confirmed while the sixth team will be decided through Asia Cup Qualifier to be held before the main event.

Asia Cup 2022 is likely to begin in June or July 2022. The tournament Held every Two Years and it alternates between ODI and Twnty20. So Previous Asia held in the year 2018. The Next Asia Cup is likely to hold in the year 2020. The Complete Schedule of the Asia Cup 2022 is yet to announce.

Indian is the Defending champion of the Asia Cup. In the Previous Year, finally, India Defeated Bangladesh and win another Asia Cup Title. Linton Das’s extraordinary performance and his century could not help Bangladesh to Defeat Indian in the Finals. Whereas Asia Cup 2018 Followed the ODI format of Cricket. So as per the Rule, next to Asia Cup will have Twenty20 Matches.

New Sri Lanka is the host of the Asia Cup 2022, and matches will be played in Sri Lanka’s different Stadium.
