Maqui

Maqui (Here I Am) – Your Personal Safety and Emergency Assistance System

Maqui (Here I Am) is an app designed to give you and your loved ones peace of mind. It functions as an intelligent "dead man's switch" and fall detection system, ideal for people who work alone, athletes, the elderly, or anyone who wants an active safety net in their daily life.

How does Maqui work?
The app periodically checks that you are okay using two main confirmation and monitoring methods:

1. Periodic Activity Check (Dead Man's Switch)
Set time intervals according to your needs. When it's time to confirm you're okay, Maqui will ask for a simple confirmation:

Shake your phone or tap a button on the screen to confirm you're active ("Here I Am").

2. Tilt and Fall Detection
Your device's position sensor analyzes the phone's orientation. If the device detects that it has been left in an abnormal position or lying flat (for example, after a fall or loss of consciousness), it will automatically initiate the check protocol.

Sequential Alert Protocol
To avoid false alarms, Maqui follows a progressive and fully configurable process before sending any external alert:

Silent alert (Vibration): The phone will vibrate for the duration you have programmed to remind you to confirm your status.

Audible alert: If there is no response to the vibration, a configurable audible alarm will be activated to get your attention.

Emergency calls: If you do not interact with the application after the audible and vibration alerts, Maqui will automatically begin calling the emergency contacts you have previously configured.

Main features:
Simple confirmation modes: Respond quickly by shaking the phone or with a tap on the screen.

Gyroscope/orientation monitoring: Automatic alert if the phone is not in an upright position or undergoes a sudden change in orientation.

100% Customizable Timing: Adjust the frequency of the controls, the vibration duration, and the audible alarm time to your liking.

Emergency Contact List: Configure who the app should call if there is no answer.

Intuitive and Accessible Interface: Designed to be easy to activate and use at any time.

Maqui is by your side when you need it most. Configure it to suit your needs and walk, work, or rest with the peace of mind of always being locatable in case of any emergency.
