KaPU Chunguza app enables chicken farmers to monitor the signs of three types of chicken diseases by taking photos of the droppings. The app is fully in Kiswahili language. The diseases are Coccidiosis, Salmonella, and Newcastle disease. A trained deep learning model for chicken diseases diagnostics is deployed on the mobile app and works offline. A user uploads to the app a photo of the chicken dropping or takes a photo of the dropping. Then, the model provides the most probable type of disease or whether it is healthy.
