About Novely: BookTracker Shelf
Your bookshelf as it stands at home. With your real book spines, at their real size, and as a widget on your home screen. A virtual bookshelf that looks like yours, ready for a shelfie.
YOUR SHELF
- Every book stands at its real height and thickness.
- Photograph your own book spines. Novely cuts them out and puts them on the shelf.
- Spine, cover facing out, or lying in a stack: hold a book and drag it where it belongs.
- SuB (your TBR), Read, Wishlist: a shelf each.
- Walls, light and decor, from fairy lights to a monstera.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
- A widget for every shelf, small, medium or large. Tap it to open exactly that shelf.
- "Liest gerade" (currently reading) and the cover widget show where you are in the book.
ADDING BOOKS
- Scan a barcode or search by title.
- German editions from the German National Library's catalogue, with publisher and page count.
- Saw a book in a video? Share it from TikTok, Instagram or your browser to Novely.
- Goodreads import by CSV. Export any time.
SERIES
- Volumes of a series stand together, in order. "Alle Bände" shows which one is missing.
READING
- A reading session timer for the book you are reading.
- Reminders for your reading time, if you like.
- Your week and your reading year as a card to share, in story format.
PRIVACY, HONESTLY
No account, no sign-in. Your books, photos and shelves stay on your phone. An anonymous usage count can be turned off in Settings.

What’s new
Version 1.0.7 · Updated October 18, 2026
• New Covers view: every book shows its cover on the shelf. Pick it at the top of Edit. • Edit → a book: Spine, Cover and Stack as pictures of that very book. • Subgenres: tap the genre on a book’s page and pick crime, fantasy and more, or add your own. • Set a book’s series and volume yourself. • “All Volumes” now leads the book page. • The Goodreads import reads the series from the book title. • The keyboard no longer covers the field you’re typing in.
