About ClimateSI Smart Citizen

The Smart Citizen App, developed by ClimateSI, is a comprehensive tool designed to help individuals calculate, monitor, and understand their personal carbon emissions. Through a user-friendly interface, the app guides users from registration and approval through to logging in and setting up their profile.

Once logged in, users can choose from two carbon footprint calculation methods—primarily focusing on the Actual Data Method, which involves detailed input from sectors such as transportation (private vehicles, public transport, and flights), household energy use, food consumption patterns, and other lifestyle-related expenses. Each input method allows users to provide data by usage, cost, or distance, making it flexible to different data availability.

After entering their data, users receive a comprehensive Emission Summary including their total carbon footprint, sector-wise breakdown, comparisons with national averages, and the estimated number of trees required for offsetting their emissions. Additional features include a home page with reduction tips, a user profile with emission trends, notification alerts, and a customizable settings panel under “All Options.”

This tool not only promotes environmental awareness but also empowers users to take actionable steps toward reducing their carbon footprint.
