Crochet Resume: Row Counter

Crochet Resume is a crochet row counter and PDF pattern reader in one. Your pattern, your row count and your place stay together, so you can put your hook down, come back days later and know exactly where you stopped.

One purchase includes every feature, including backup and restore. No ads, no subscription, no account.

Your pattern and your count, side by side
• Open a PDF pattern you already own and read it right above your row counter.
• Zoom, pan and turn pages. A reading marker shows the row you are working on.
• Each project reopens on the same page, zoom and marker you left.
• No pattern file? Start a counter-only project.

A crochet counter made for real projects
• Large plus and minus buttons for quick counting between stitches.
• Undo, set an exact count, or reset with a confirmation.
• Add a second counter and name it for stitches, repeats or increases.
• Start at row 0, or at the row you have already finished.

Know your next row
• Set a row goal and see how many rows remain.
• Add a reminder before a chosen row, like "Before row 41: change to cream".
• Follow repeating patterns: see which row of the repeat comes next and how many repeats are done.
• Keep a project note for your hook size, yarn or where to start next time.

Track your project time
• Start and pause a timer for each project. It pauses by itself when you leave the project or switch apps.

All your projects in one place
• Switch between blankets, scarves, amigurumi and more. Each project keeps its own counters and place.
• Rename projects and archive the ones you finish.
• Light and dark theme, plus an option to keep the screen awake while you work.

Private and offline
• Works without an internet connection. The app has no internet permission, no account, no ads and no analytics.
• Your projects and PDFs stay in the app's private storage on your phone.
• Export your whole library to one backup file and restore it on a new phone.

Good to know
• Bring your own PDF patterns. The app does not include patterns or write instructions.
• Counting is manual: turning a page never changes your count.
• Rows are rows, so it works as a knitting row counter too.
• PDFs can be up to 20 MB and 100 pages. Encrypted or damaged PDFs are not supported.
• PDF pages are shown as images, so the pattern text does not reflow and screen readers cannot read it. You can export the original PDF to another reader at any time.
• The app is in English and needs Android 7.0 or newer.
• Uninstalling the app removes your projects, so keep a backup somewhere safe.
