About ShotMap: Basketball Heatmap

Tap the court and the shot is logged.

When practice is over, a single heatmap shows you where you took your shots and where they actually fell. No tally marks in a notebook, no trying to remember afterwards how it went.

■ Log shots by tapping the court

Tap the spot on the court diagram where you shot from, then pick made or missed. That is all. One hand, a couple of seconds. Tapped the wrong spot? Undo the last shot and it is gone.

■ Your shooting as a heatmap

The more you log, the deeper the color gets where you shoot most. Made shots can be drawn as ○ and misses as ✕ on top, so you can compare at a glance where you shoot a lot and where the ball actually goes in.

■ Shooting % across 10 zones

Paint, left, center and right mid-range, left and right corner 3, left and right wing 3, top of the key 3, and free throws. Every zone gets a table row with attempts, makes and shooting %. Once a weak zone shows up as a number, you know what to work on next practice.

■ Free throw counter

Free throws need no tap on the court at all, just the made and missed buttons. Your current streak is counted for you.

■ Kept in sessions

One workout is one session. Give it a name and a note and it is easy to find what you did that day. If a session already exists for today, you can carry straight on from the home screen.

■ Stats and trends by period

Filter by all time, this week, this month or a single session. Field goal %, 3PT %, free throw % and total attempts sit on one screen, and you can follow your shooting % trend across recent sessions on a graph.

■ Share your heatmap

Save a finished heatmap as an image and send it to teammates or your coach.

■ Practice reminder

Once a day at the time you choose. Turn it off if you do not need it.

■ Made to your taste

App theme: system, light or dark. Court theme: dark or hardwood.

■ Your records stay yours

Everything is stored on your device. No account to create, no sign-in. For the day you switch phones, export it all to a JSON file and import it back.

■ This is for you if you

shoot on your own and want a record of it
want to find weak zones and plan practice around them
keep individual numbers for a club or school team
want to work on your free throw % over time

■ Premium

The free version lets you create up to 20 sessions, with all the main features available.

Premium removes the ads, lets you create unlimited sessions and unlocks the session-by-session shooting % trend graph. Buy it once and keep it: a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
