COFENABVI-AO Mobile Application – trade: Collection and Monitoring of Cross-Border Livestock Flows in West Africa

Developed by COFENABVI-AO (Confederation of National Federations of the Livestock and Meat Sector of West Africa), this innovative mobile application aims to strengthen the collection and analysis of data on cross-border livestock flows in the West African region.
It allows field agents, transporters, traders, and other stakeholders to record livestock movements in real time at various checkpoints and livestock markets. The information collected includes the species transported, quantities, points of departure and destination, health documents, and transport conditions.
This digital solution contributes to:
• improving the traceability and transparency of livestock trade between countries in the region;
• providing reliable data to decision-makers, regional institutions, and technical partners;
• strengthening health and trade security along trade corridors; • Facilitate regional integration and the free movement of goods within the ECOWAS region.
