PSC Misc Exam Guide

PSC Misc Exam Guide is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or
connected to the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or any government body, and it is
not an official publication.

PSC Misc Exam Guide is a study app for candidates preparing for the West Bengal Public
Service Commission's Miscellaneous Services Preliminary Examination — one paper, 100
questions, 200 marks, 90 minutes, split General Studies (75 questions) and Arithmetic (25
questions). Every lesson, question and mock paper in the app is built around that one paper,
not a generic question dump — and every figure the app states about the paper links back to
the official notification it came from (https://psc.wb.gov.in/syllabus.jsp).

WHAT IS INSIDE

• Eight subjects, the exam's own list: History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, Static
GK and Current Affairs for General Studies, plus Arithmetic (Number System through
Mensuration — eleven named topics)
• A full mock paper in the real shape of the exam: 100 questions, 90 minutes, drawn 75 from
General Studies and 25 from Arithmetic, with the paper's real negative-marking rule applied
• A source-linked Sources screen — every figure the app states about the paper (marks,
duration, negative marking) links straight back to the Commission's own published scheme
at https://psc.wb.gov.in/syllabus.jsp
• A section-by-section result screen, so you can see General Studies and Arithmetic
performance separately, not just one blended score
• Speed drills across the whole syllabus, and topic-by-topic lessons with their own short
quizzes
• Works in English and Bengali

BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU STUDY

• Works offline. The syllabus is inside the app; you do not need signal to read a lesson or
sit a paper
• Free. No advertisements, no paid tier, no locked chapters
• No accounts of any kind. There is nothing to sign in to, and nothing about you ever leaves
your phone — see the privacy policy
• Accuracy tracked by subject across every attempt, so you can see which of the eight
subjects actually needs more of your time — not a guess

Paper structure, marks, duration and the negative-marking rule are set by the Public Service
Commission, West Bengal and can change between cycles. Practice papers in this app are
written to match the published pattern — they are not reproductions of any real paper.
Always check the current notification at https://psc.wb.gov.in/syllabus.jsp for anything that affects your
application.
