Weekly averages come from the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey and Treasury yields from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, both public. Mortgage Rate Tracker is not affiliated with or endorsed by Freddie Mac, the Federal Reserve or any government agency. The survey averages describe conventional loans for borrowers with excellent credit and 20% down; your own rate depends on your credit, down payment, loan type, points and lender.
