शनि चालीसा: Shani Chalisa, Aarti with Audio(Hindi)

☞ Shani Chalisa(शनि चालीसा) is the most popular hymn in praise of Lord Shani Dev and is recited by millions of people every day. He is one of the most popular deities that the Hindus pray to ward off evil and remove obstacles. Shani literally means the “slow-moving-one”. Shani oversees the "dungeons of the human heart and the dangers that lurk there."

☞ Shani Dev is then the first guardian of the human soul in so far as he makes it a point to make people suffer for their sins in their lives, so as to purify and cleanse them of the negative influence of evil they have acquired in the pursuit of materiality. From birth itself, God Shani had inherited the great powers of his mother's penance. He saw that his father was insulting his mother. God Surya accepted his fault and apologized.

☞ Shani Dev saw his father with a cruel gaze. As a result, his father's body was charred black. God Shiva advised God Surya and explained to him what had happened. That is, because of him the respect of mother and child had been tarnished and insulted.

☞ According to Vedic Astrology, Shani sade-sati is considered a troublesome time for one’s life. This person may face a lot of challenges, may face failure, accidents, health, and money related problems. They also regard this period as a life-changing one. But contrary to popular belief this trouble is false. Shani & Yama are Gods of justice. While Yama, gives the results of one’s deeds after death, Shani is known to give one the fruits of his deeds in his present life itself. One must bear the fruits of their karma.

☞ Lord Hanuman is said to have rescued Shani Dev from the clutches of Raavan, and in return, Shani promised him that those who worship Hanuman on Saturdays will be free from the bad effects of Shani.
