When you land your fish, create a log quickly and easily in your finScribe profile. finScribe will automatically set the time and date, suggest a fishing water based on your location and then you can drop a pin on your exact location. (All details are editable later, if you are an angler who prefers to log your catches at the end of the day.) You can add up to three photos, plus details of weight and length, and any other information, such as method, weather, and the names of your fishing buddies.

When you arrive somewhere new, use the finScribe Discover function to find other local waterways that match your fishing preference. Or if you are planning your next fishing trip, scroll the interactive map to look at different locations, then zoom in with satellite view for more detail.

Review your fishing season and look back through your catch history on finScribe. When you arrive at a fishing location you’ve previously visited, search your profile and pin-point previous catches. Click on the relevant log to remind yourself what you caught, how and where. If you want to tell others about your successes, you can choose to share a log via text, email, whatsapp or your favourite social media channel. finScribe’s default settings keep your profile private, but should you want, you can allow other selected finScribe users to find your profile and view your logs.
