About Catch Fish

Catch Fish (Ice Fish) is a casual portrait game with a winter ice-fishing theme.
In the main menu, the player is greeted by a frozen lake, a logo, and an animated Play button. The current best score is also displayed, saved between sessions. The button appears with a popping animation and becomes interactive only after the animation finishes.
The core gameplay is a pair‑matching minigame. The player is presented with a grid of eighteen fish tiles. Each of the nine different fish species appears exactly twice. The goal is to tap two tiles to find matching pairs. Each correct pair awards points. Tapping the same tile twice in a row deselects it.
At the top of the screen, the current score is shown alongside a green fill bar that represents the remaining time for the round. The first round lasts 10 seconds. Each time the player clears the entire board, the next round's duration decreases by one second, down to a set minimum. If the timer runs out before all pairs are cleared, the run ends: the best score is updated, and the game returns to the main menu.
When all pairs in a round are cleared, the best score is saved, and a new round begins: all tiles reappear with a fresh random layout, the timer resets, and the next round starts with a shorter time limit.
At any moment, the player can return to the menu using a dedicated button. When returning, the main menu displays the latest best score achieved.
