Capture Notes: AI Second Brain

Your second brain for everything you save. Share a YouTube video, a TikTok, an article or a post to Capture Notes, or type a quick thought, and the app turns it into a clear Markdown note: what it says, why it matters, and what to do next.

HOW IT WORKS
1. In YouTube, TikTok, your browser or any app, tap Share, then Capture Notes. Or paste a link or write a thought on Today.
2. The app reads the page on your phone: article text, video details and captions, post text.
3. AI writes the note while you keep scrolling; the capture finishes on its own.

WHAT A NOTE CONTAINS
- A short summary, key points and quotes (with timestamps for videos that have captions)
- Next steps as checkbox tasks, with due dates when the text mentions a day ("call the plumber Tuesday")
- Tags, and links to your related notes
- Title, author, source link and reading or watch time

SMART CARDS
A recipe, a place, a product or an event gets a card with the facts that matter:
- Recipes: time, servings and ingredients; tick what you need and add it to Groceries
- Places: type, area, opening hours and price; open it in your maps app
- Products: price, and a Wishlist
- Events: when and where

STAY ON TOP OF WHAT YOU SAVED
- Today: quick capture, a "Next thing" card that picks one task for the time you have (2 min, 15 min, 1 h), and your second brain at a glance
- Inbox: go through new captures one at a time, then keep, archive or do the next step
- Clean up a pile: paste the links you sent yourself in a chat or a notes app; each one becomes its own note, repeats removed
- Library: captures as cards with thumbnails, filters for watch, listen, read and platform
- Tasks: open, done and due soon, grouped by what you will do (watch, plan, call, buy...)
- Notes: edit in Markdown, link notes with [[wikilinks]], see backlinks and related notes
- Search across notes, captures and tasks
- Light and dark themes; English, French and Arabic

AI
Capture Notes works with your own API key for Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (for example OpenRouter, Groq, or Ollama on your own network). You choose the model; the provider bills you directly, and Gemini has a free tier. Your key stays in the phone's encrypted storage and is only sent to the provider you chose.
No key? Captures are still saved as Lite notes with the title, source and full text, and you can add a key later.

WORKS WITH
YouTube (including captions), web articles, Wikipedia, GitHub, Reddit, TikTok, X, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Dailymotion and Instagram. Some sites limit what an app can read: Instagram and Facebook posts may need the optional in-app browser (off by default), where you can sign in on the site's own page.

YOUR NOTES ARE YOUR FILES
Notes are plain Markdown (.md) files with Obsidian-style properties, tags and links. They live in the app's own folder by default, or in a folder you pick, such as an Obsidian vault, so you can open, edit and sync them with the tools you already use.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account, no analytics, no tracking of what you save
- Pages are fetched directly from your phone; only the AI provider you configure receives the text to analyze
- No storage permission: the app only accesses the one folder you choose
- Android backups of app data are turned off
