CamTally - AI Camera Counter

CamTally turns your phone camera into an AI people counter and traffic counter. Record a video (or import one), and on-device AI counts what appears in it — people, cars, bicycles, animals and 70+ other object types — without sending a single frame off your phone.

• Shops & events: count visitors passing by or entering, with IN/OUT line-crossing counts. Hourly charts show your peak times.
• Traffic surveys: count cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians by type.

■ Privacy first
• No video and no results ever leave your device.
• The app has no internet permission at all — it cannot connect to anything.
• No face recognition, no identification of individuals. It only counts.
• No account, no ads, no tracking. Camera is the only permission it needs (plus a notification while analyzing).

■ How it works
On-device AI (MediaPipe object detection) finds objects in each frame; a tracking algorithm follows each one so it is counted once. An hour of video is analyzed on your phone in a few minutes.

■ Tips for best results
• Frame the scene so subjects stay visible for 2+ seconds.
• Select only the object types you need — fewer false positives.
• Good lighting improves accuracy.

■ Limitations
• Crowded scenes with heavy overlap can reduce accuracy.
• Accuracy depends on lighting, distance and angle.
• CamTally provides reference counts and is not intended for security, safety or medical use.
