Home Project Planner

Every home project starts the same way: a mental list that seems manageable until you're standing in the hardware aisle trying to remember how many outlet covers you actually need. Home Project Planner exists to catch that list before it falls apart.

Start any project — a weekend paint job, a full deck build, a quick faucet fix — and break it into real, trackable tasks. Reorder them, chain dependent steps together, and check them off as you go. Every task can carry its own note, so the reason you swapped to a different sealant or left two spare tiles in the garage doesn't get lost six months later.

Materials get the same treatment. Log what each project needs, mark what you already have versus what you still need to buy, and let the app total up estimated costs automatically as you add line items. Once you're actually shopping and building, log real prices against the estimate — the app quietly flags it the moment actual spend creeps past what you planned, so nothing sneaks up on you at checkout.

A few of the things you'll find along the way:

- Project templates for common jobs (paint a room, build a deck, fix a leak) to skip the blank-page problem
- Scope tiers — Quick Fix, Weekend, Multi-Week, Long-Term — that pace reminders to match the size of the job
- A dashboard showing every active project's progress at a glance
- A completed-projects archive with final costs and your own wrap-up notes
- Light milestone tracking, like finishing your first project or staying under budget three times running
- Undo on nearly every action, so one wrong tap never costs you your checklist

None of it requires accounts, syncing, or setup beyond opening the app and naming your first project. Whatever you're building, fixing, or finally getting around to — Home Project Planner just keeps the list from falling apart.
