Starter - Sourdough Tracker

Stop killing your sourdough starter.

Starter is the beginner-friendly sourdough companion that replaces 50 conflicting methods with one proven path. Track feedings, never miss a reminder, and finally turn your discard into delicious recipes — all on your Android device.

★ THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE

Starting sourdough is overwhelming. Every blog, Reddit post, and YouTube video gives different advice — 1:1:1 or 1:5:5? Every 12 hours or once a day? Whole wheat or all-purpose?

Starter cuts through the noise. One clear method. Smart reminders that adapt to your storage method. A health tracker that tells you exactly how your sourdough starter is doing.

★ TRACK FEEDINGS WITH EASE

• Log feedings in seconds — flour, water, starter amounts
• See health status at a glance — Thriving, Hungry, or Neglected
• Track peak times to understand your starter's rhythm
• Add photos to visualize progress over time
• Review feeding history to spot patterns

★ NEVER MISS A FEEDING

Smart reminders that actually make sense:

• Room temperature starter — reminded every 12 hours
• Refrigerated starter — reminded weekly
• Adjust timing to match your schedule
• Snooze when life gets busy

★ USE YOUR DISCARD

Stop throwing away perfectly good starter:

• 10+ discard recipes matched to your discard amount

• See health status and hours since last feeding
• Quick-feed button on medium widget

★ ADAPTS TO YOUR KITCHEN

Your kitchen temperature changes everything:

• Cold (under 65°F): slower fermentation, adjusted ratios
• Normal (65-75°F): standard timing
• Warm (75-85°F): faster rise, more frequent feeds
• Hot (over 85°F): rapid activity, careful monitoring

Starter adjusts feeding recommendations based on your environment.
