Agile Battleships

Agile in business is an iterative, flexible approach to management and operations that focuses on delivering value quickly by embracing feedback rather than resisting it.

Agile Battleships is an interactive learning tool that brings one of agile’s most important principles to life: the value of fast feedback loops. Play two rounds of battleships — one with delayed feedback, one with instant feedback — and see for yourself how timely information transforms decision-making.

How It Works

Round 1: Fire your shots blind. You won’t know what hit and what missed until the round is over. Can you sink the fleet without adjusting your strategy?

Round 2: Every shot gives you immediate feedback. Adapt, learn, and refine your approach in real time.

At the end, compare your results side by side — shots fired, hits landed, ships sunk, and time taken — and discover just how much faster feedback helps you
improve.
