Box Seats: IPTV Player

Box Seats is an IPTV player for adults. Sign in with the IPTV subscription you already have, and your live channels, movies and series arrive as fast, remote-friendly screens for the biggest display in the house, and for the phone in your pocket. Adult content is blocked by default and stays behind your PIN.

Box Seats is a player only. It does not include, host, sell or provide any channels, streams or media, and it comes with no content of its own. You need your own IPTV subscription or playlist. Box Seats is not designed for children: provider content can include violence, alcohol, drugs and other mature themes. What you can watch depends on your provider: the controls below filter it, but they are a safety net, not a guarantee.

PARENTAL CONTROLS
• Adult content is blocked by default, and unblocking it asks for your PIN first
• Xtream providers: whatever your provider marks as adult is treated as adult, and nothing is judged by its name, so ordinary films and channels are never hidden by mistake
• M3U playlists and portals carry no adult flag, so their category names are checked instead
• Adult content is hidden from browsing, search and the guide, not just greyed out
• Set a maximum age rating (7, 13, 16 or 18): the movie and series library is then limited to titles The Movie Database (TMDB) has an official rating for, at or below that age. Ratings are the certificates for South Africa, the UK or the US. Live TV is then limited to kids, sport, documentary, wildlife and news channels
• Hide any other category completely, or lock it behind the same PIN
• Five wrong PIN attempts lock the keypad for fifteen minutes
• Where a provider issues one, the PIN follows the account, not the device: it survives a re-install and is already in place on a second TV
• Providers name categories freely, so look over a new playlist after its first sync

BUILT FOR THE TELEVISION, AT HOME ON A PHONE
• Android TV and Google TV first: D-pad navigation, a launcher banner, and layouts sized for the sofa
• The same app on phones and tablets, with touch, mouse and keyboard support
• Stays fast on very large playlists, and a channel number typed on the remote jumps straight to it

PLAYLISTS AND PROVIDERS
• Xtream Codes, Stalker Portal, and M3U playlists from a URL or a local file
• Several providers side by side, each with its own settings
• Combined M3U profiles that merge multiple sources into one lineup

LIVE TV, GUIDE AND CATCH-UP
• Favourites, recently watched and custom channel groups; pin, hide, lock or group any category
• Full EPG grid with search, XMLTV support and manual EPG matching
• Provider catch-up where your source offers it, plus live rewind with up to 30 minutes of buffer

RECORDING
• Scheduled and background recording, with reminders straight from a guide entry
• Record to the app's own folder or to storage you choose, and play finished recordings in the app

MOVIES AND SERIES
• Modern shelves or classic sidebar categories, info pages, and resume where you stopped
• Search the whole library from the top of any screen, with automatic next episode

PLAYBACK
• Subtitles, audio tracks, aspect ratio, speed and quality controls
• Multi-view split screen and Google Cast support
• Bundled FFmpeg audio fallback for AC-3, E-AC-3, DTS, MP2 and TrueHD

ANDROID TV INTEGRATION
• Watch Next and launcher recommendations
• TV Input Framework channel sync, so your channels appear in the system Live TV app

PRIVACY
• No account with us, and no sign-up: your provider details stay on your device
• No advertising, and no tracking of what you watch
